Trauma
Trauma can leave lasting impacts on how we view ourselves, others, and the world. It can make seemingly insignificant things to the outside, feel terrifying on the inside. You might experience nightmares, flashbacks, overwhelming emotions, avoidance of certain places or experiences, difficulty with memory and challenges in relationships. I am here to support you on your journey toward healing. My approach to trauma therapy is grounded in creating a safe, compassionate, and nonjudgmental space where you feel supported and understood.
I prioritize building a strong therapeutic relationship and staying client-centered, ensuring that our work together is guided by your pace and needs. I often use EMDR (Eye Movement Desensitization and Reprocessing), an evidence-based therapy that helps process and reduce the emotional intensity of traumatic memories, along with other modalities.
Before diving into deeper work, we focus on learning coping and grounding strategies to help you feel secure and in control. My goal is to help you build resilience, reconnect with your sense of safety, and move toward a place of greater peace and self-compassion.
