Michaela Torrie Psychotherapy

Welcome
"The curious paradox is that when I accept myself just as I am, then I can change."
-Carl Rogers
My Approach
As a therapist, I believe that each person is an expert on their own lives and that therapy should center around the client's voice. I support each client with setting and working toward their individualized goals. While I have extensive training in many evidence based therapeutic approaches that I use in session, I believe there is no one modality that will perfectly fit a clients needs which is why the foundation of my therapy is rooted in connection. Healing happens in relationships. I bring my authentic self to sessions because I know our relationship, as therapist and client, is central to the healing process.
